- Under the code finder on the home page, and near the end of the GE, RCA and Philips pages, for someone whose remote is lost or broken.
- On each TV brand page, under the finder, for someone whose listed codes did not work.
- In the “Buy” column of the coverage table on which universal remote covers your TVs.
- At the end of the how to program a universal remote guide, after the factory reset.
Each of these links sits next to a line saying it is an affiliate link. They go to an Amazon search for that kind of remote, not to one chosen product.
What the links do not change
Codes, steps and coverage counts come from Jasco's and RCA's own code lists and manuals, cited on every page. Which remote earns us a commission has no part in what a code table or the coverage table shows. The coverage table lists every remote and version in our data, whether or not it has a Buy link.
We haven't tested these remotes, so we give no ratings, rankings by quality or star scores. “Best” on the best universal remote page means the version with a code for the most TV brands in the makers' lists, and nothing more.
How clicks are counted
We count clicks on these links with our own cookieless analytics (Umami), so we know which page and position led to a click. It records the click and the page it came from, not who you are, and never what happens on Amazon. Once you are on Amazon, Amazon's own terms and privacy notice apply, and Amazon may use cookies to credit a purchase to us. Details are on the privacy page.
