The codes and steps

Codes and programming steps come from the remote makers' published code lists and manuals, which every page cites and links. We check them against those sources, but we haven't tested them on a physical remote, and a maker can change a list without notice. They are provided as they are, without any warranty that a code will work with your device. If a listed code does not work, the remote's own printed list and the maker's support page are the final word.

Programming a remote is safe, but follow the maker's instructions for your model. We are not responsible for loss or damage from using the site, to the extent the law allows.

Brands and trademarks

Universal Remote Codes is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Jasco, GE, Philips, UltraPro, RCA, VOXX, Comcast or any TV or device maker. Brand and product names belong to their owners and are used only to say which remote or device a code is for. The site uses no maker's logo or artwork; the remote drawings are our own.

Our content

Code numbers are facts, and the makers' own lists remain theirs. The way this site groups them by brand, device and version, the comparisons between versions, the notes, guides and drawings are our own work. You may link to any page and quote short parts with a link back. Please don't copy whole pages or scrape the site.

Links, ads and affiliate links

Pages link to the makers' sources and to other sites we don't control. Some links to Amazon are affiliate links, and the site works with Google AdSense to show ads. Neither affects which codes a page shows. The affiliate disclosure and the privacy policy explain how they work and the cookies Google may use.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date below changes when they do. To report a wrong code or ask about these terms, email hello@universalremotecodes.net or use the contact page.
