What the maker lists hold for Vizio TV
Vizio's CL3 row had 24 codes. CL4 cut it to 9 and added 6121, 6131 and 6111, then CL5 added 6471 and 6511 for the 11 that CL6 still prints. Six codes run through all four lists, 5631, 5611, 5561, 5651, 5621 and 5711, so they are the ones to try on a remote whose label has worn off. RCA lists Vizio on 33 of 35 revisions, with 1 to 8 codes each.

RCA prints a revision number on its code lists. Each row is one revision, how many RCA models name it on their list or quick-start sheet, and the Vizio TV codes it carries.

- GE 4-Device Universal Remote 33709 is Jasco-made and takes the CL lists above. Read the CL number in its battery compartment: on CL6, the Vizio TV row has 11 codes, starting with 5631. GE codes and steps.

Why Vizio's own code list may not work on your remote
Vizio's support article, “Remote Codes: Universal Remote,” lists 26 TV codes grouped only by digit count, without saying which universal remote each one is for. We checked all 26 against the makers' lists on September 24, 2026:
- None of them is a Vizio code on any GE, Philips or UltraPro list (CL3 to CL6).
- Five are Vizio codes on some RCA revisions: 1758 and 1756 (4-digit revisions such as 31862), and 11756, 10885 and 10864 (older 5-digit revisions such as 20022).
- The article leaves out 11758, the first Vizio code on 22 of RCA's 35 revisions, including R3F802 and 26211.
Vizio's older PDF, vizio-universal-remote-codes.pdf, serves a different purpose: it lists codes for Vizio's own universal remote to control other devices. Its GE, RCA and Philips rows are codes for controlling TVs of those brands, not codes for programming GE, RCA or Philips universal remotes.

Every GE, UltraPro and Jasco-made Philips code is 4 digits: on CL5, the Vizio list starts with 5631, 5611, 5561. On RCA remotes, only older revisions such as 31862 use 4 digits, where Vizio starts with 1758; current RCA remotes (R271U1, R341U1, R3F802) need 5 digits.
How do I enter the code?
